Caden 1st Day Skiing

This is a day that Mommy and Daddy had been waiting a long time for. We got Caden his ski equipment a long time ago but haven’t had the time nor snow to try it out. Finally we decided to “bite the bullet” and drive up to Eldora to take Caden skiing. It took three adults (Mom, Dad & Grandma Myra), the roof top carrier for ski’s, stroller, boots etc, and an hour and a half to get there (should have taken 45min but there were lots of stops to try and calm a screaming Molly) but it was all worth it!

Caden was very excited to ski and loved it despite the 23 degree temperature and wind. We were sooooo proud. We expected to just do a few runs our first time out but he did 3 runs and was ready for more. We took a lunch break and went out again and did four more--we even tried the beginner lift.

Caden likes going fast and likes going on his own. He can stay up pretty well but so far can only ski to the left. It was a great start and he’s ready to go again already so we’ll keep trying! He’ll be a pro in no time!
