13 Months & Walking

Caden is now 13 months old and is a busy, busy, busy guy. He took his first real steps right after Thanksgiving and is now walking all over the place--both to people and to places on his own. Needless to say, he thinks he is hot stuff and frequently stops what he’s doing to make sure that whomever is around notices and cheers him on. He’s quite the ham!

With the walking came the ability to climb. He has a little bus that he pushes around and has used it on several occasions as a prop to allow him to climb onto other things...tables, chairs etc. He also has a HUGE desire to climb up our refrigerator...who knows why! Luckily he’s taken a couple of tumbles (didn’t get hurt) and this has scared him off the climbing a bit.

Caden spent most of the time from his birthday to now sick. We came back from Thanksgiving and he had both an ear infection and bronchitis. He was on two different kinds of antibiotics (first time) but even so it took him a LONG time to get over it.

Caden is at a very cute stage right now. His sense of humor continues to develop and he LOVES to play with people. His favorite game right now is to play with his blankie bear with people. He throws it out of his crib at you and LOVES it when you cuddle it and throw it back. He also spends huge amounts of time in his ball pit, pushing his bus around and climbing on and off of it and playing with anyone and everyone’s cell phones--he makes the occasional call on those as well!
