Caden First

I would like to say that every trip we go on will be a great one, sadly, that can’t always be the case. Katy and I have been trying to get out and camp more often; the first time we went together, Katy was 8 months pregnant, and this time, we had an 8 month old. God only knows why we make things so hard on ourselves. On the bright side, we camped in a really beautiful area in the Northern Rockies, got a few days to ourselves, enjoyed camp food and relaxed around the fire at night. On the not so bright side, it was HOT. The highest temperature this area has ever seen is in the mid-80s, it was in the mid-90s the whole weekend (and this is at 8100’). And with the heat came an INSANE amount of flies/mosquitos/other pesky bugs. This made everyone, especially the dog, very uncomfortable. And, sadly, Caden just wasn’t in a good-space for this trip. He was cranky almost the entire time. But, we are glass-three-quarters-full type people, so enjoy the pictures of our first camping adventure with a kid!
