Caden Is One!!!

Everyone warned us how fast this first year would go by. They so understated that point. We can remember every detail of his birth and his first days being at home. Now, he is one, and he is no longer a baby. That is sad in many ways, but it has been such a pleasure to see him grow into the happy, healthy, active, adorable, and mischievous child he is now. There isn’t a day that goes by that we are not so proud of him and reminded about all the joy he has brought us.

We had his birthday party on the 8th, and it was a bash to say the least. We had ~55 people over (that includes 25 kids). With the new basement in-place and still empty, we were able to set up a bunch of toys and let the kids go crazy, they had a blast. With the theme of monkeys in every corner of the house, and Caden’s family and best friends celebrating his big day, we like to think it is a day he will never forget...but since he will most certainly forget it, we are happy to say it is a day we will never forget. The pictures below of his big day don’t do him justice, he is actually way cuter in person. We hope to post a movie of his first year sometime this month, but in the meantime, enjoy!
