College Reunion

For the second time in the ~6+ years of having kids, Katy and her college roommates had another reunion. A look back (click here) reminds us what it was like with just one each. Now between the four girls (Katy, Jamie, Laura, and Kelly) there are 9 of them! And this time instead of just hanging out at each others homes, we brought the party to the mountains for some serious slumber parties and all day skiing. Oh yeah, everyone stepped it up this time. Thanks to Laura and Matt for the amazing digs in Winter Park and hooking us up with a beautiful day of skiing. And thanks to Mother Nature for making the trip up to the mountains, with avalanches, ice, and all, for reminding us what makes Colorado special.

The trip was a total blast. The kids got to play together with little to no rules, the grown-ups got to share the pain of parenting and rejoice in it at the same time, and the college roomies got to remember what happens when you mix too much alcohol, snow, and large statues of a moose.

Even better, Caden hit the slopes like a pro. We spent the whole day skiing with him and decided unanimously that it was time to buy ski passes! Look out winter 2014/15, here come the Chapman’s!
