Sonoma 2014

This is the second time Katy and I went to Sonoma on our own. It is officially a tradition and it must be done every year...or three...done. Another awesome trip with our friends Courtney and Robert. We flew out to SFO (actually Oakland after a 3 hour SFO delay) and enjoyed another beautiful day in the city before heading up to Sonoma.

Friday Katy and I spent the day touring vineyards on our own and signing up for too many wine clubs. We saw and tasted lots of great things and ended the day with a spa date, massage & dinner with Courtney and Robert who had just gotten engaged! Hard to remember a more perfect day.

The next day we caught up with our friends again and did a proper wine tour. Again with signing up for too many clubs and drinking way too much. I won’t say what ended up happening to Katy at the last stop, but a big sorry to whoever cleans the bathrooms.

The day ended with a nice dinner with friends and enjoying the town. It was great to come home to the kids of course and missed them badly as always. But I think Katy and I realize that we not only need these trips, we earned them.

First stop Oakland...could be anywhere and we would still be this happy
