Summer is Wrapping Up

Summer as in the time off of school where to only objective is to do as much or as little as you, is wrapping up. Summer as a season here in Colorado seems here to stay at least through the beginning of fall. I think we will be seeing the 90’s through much of September!

As we reflect back on the last three months and wonder if the kids had a fun, jam packed, sun worshipping, endless summer, we notice that our kids are both very tan, more blond than normal, are very cranky, and are so tired that they can’t make it through dinner. So the summer was a total success and it is time to take a long break and go to school. Yea us!

Thanks to the endless (until about now) energy of Katy, the kids had more pool time, adventure time, play dates, trips, zoo and aquarium visits than many do in a couple of years. We enjoyed our yard, our town, the mountains, and the long sunny days. It is indeed time for the routines to start up again, but I think maybe as much as the kids are looking forward to starting school, they can already see summer ’14 around the corner.
