Happy 35th Katy!

March 24, 20131 photos

I decided last year when I turned 35 that I wanted Katy to make a big deal of it. One because it was 12/12/12 and two because I never really make a big deal of my birthdays. Well Katy did a fantastic job making a big deal out of it. So I wanted to return the favor for her 35th...er 27th. So we did a cocktail party. I planned some fun foods, a cake, and lots of drinks. It turned out to be a pretty good time. Some statistics below:

Food: 10 bags of candy, lots of crackers, 4 types of cheese, a dip, some salmon...fairly well consumed

Drinks: A full Costco bag of limes, two bottles of rum (Mojitos), a full bottle of tequila (Strawberry-Basil Margarita and Gimlets), lots of beer, 3 bottles of wine....and then I lost count.

Cake: I made a from scratch German Chocolate cake for Katy (her favorite). In short, taste great; ass-ugly.

Outcome: Lots of dancing, lots of people, lots of inappropriate behavior, and some passing out on the floor...total success! And all was said and done by 9:30pm.

Can’t wait until we turn 40...well yes I can, but I am picturing a joint 40 blow-out to make the transition easier on us.

These two doing shots together is occurring with a disturbing frequency. First it was just parties, now it is Tuesdays.
