Molly 9 Months

I think we find comfort in knowing Molly is going to be a force to be reckoned with when she grows up and tackles the world. We have to because she dominates this household. She has become so personable, funny, mobile, opinionated, and curious over the past few months. She knows what she likes & now she really knows how to get it. It is a real pleasure watching her play with her toys and her big brother...she adores both. You wouldn’t know given her gigantic presence she has in a room that she is only in the 3rd and 5tj percentiles in weight and height...barely there at all. But she is as healthy as ever and of course is in the 87th %ile for her head! She loves eating lots of new things and loves even more throwing them across the room.

Molly moves her way...and doesn’t conform to standards. She wants to get around and does, but mostly through spinning in circles and scooting backwards both on her belly. She is also able to scooch a bit forwards when she’s in the sitting position. However she gets there though, she is thrilled to bits when she reaches her destination. Some of her favorite locales include going under chairs and over to her exersaucer and jonny jump up where she can play with the toys from underneath!

Molly is also starting to sign more and more. She now is able to sign, Milk, Dog & Yes. She loves it when she gets what she is asking for or acknowledged for her signing and loves it even more when you sign to her...it is almost always a sure bet to get a giggle or smile out of her.

Sleep is...better, I guess. She goes down around 7 and stays asleep pretty reliably until 3:30 to 4am with a few 5 ams thrown in there. Mom and dad need to buckle down and force her to stay asleep until at least the sun comes up...but she is a tough cookie to force into anything.

We love her, she is so amazing to watch and cute enough to get away with murder...which I am afraid she knows.

Molly, she about has this all figured out
