Halloween 2010
This Halloween was more focused on the kids this year then it was on us grown-ups and our annual Halloween party. Really the party got cancelled so what else could we do.
We started with Caden, lots of good choices for him. Buzz-Lightyear has been a favorite of his this year, characters from the Backyardigans were also good choices. Even the classics like a fireman or an astronaut would have been something he would enjoy. But no, no sir. Not Caden. Out of no where, Caden said he wanted to be Roomba, yes Roomba (for those of you who don’t know what Roomba is cause as it turns out, many of you don’t, click here). Dad thought that was the coolest idea ever and got right on it. Couple of pieces of cardboard, some pipe cleaners, a motor, LEDs and we had ourselves a good looking robotic vacuum. Caden LOVED it. He had a button to push to make the brushes turn and a “CLEAN” light he could turn on and off too. Anyway, lots of fun for Caden and daddy. Mommy thought we were crazy.
Molly on the other hand was much easier. A pink bucket, a flower head band and we had ourselves a flower in a pot. Some thought it was wrong of us to put our baby in a bucket. But we thought it was rather funny. And she seemed to get a kick out of it...most of the time.
Caden had a party at his school, put on largely by mommy, did the trick-o-treating bit and had too much candy. The most notably thing, no snow. For the first time in I think about 10 years, no snow before Halloween! Enjoy the pictures (click).
A costume is a reflection of ones personality. Caden the Roomba and Molly the Flower Pot.
