SNOW DAY!!!

March 26, 20097 photos

I was 26 when I had my first snow day. Granted I lived in California most of my life and the slightest glimpse of snow was something to be excited about. There are few things better then being stuck at home (on a work day) cause there is too much fun, er, I mean, snow outside.

This storm was said to be a ‘hurricane’ that situated itself primarily over Boulder County. We got about 20” of snow--most of which in about 4 hours. Then there was the wind and snow drifts up to 4ft in places. It was an impressive storm!

The only damper on the day was that Karen had to get back to the airport. Stupid Northwest Airlines wouldn’t cancel their flight and could careless if we had to drive 30 miles through a blizzard to get to the airport. But we made it, sure, Karen got stuck in Detroit over night...but I hear it is nice this time of year.

Caden enjoyed the white stuff every way he could get it. Face down in it, in his mouth, shoveling it, or running to it. Enjoy the pictures!

Look carefully and you might see Caden

This was it looked like 12 hours before the snow hit

How do you make this thing go?

You’re doing it wrong Dad!

See, you have to push with your legs, not your back

In retrospect, it is a damn lucky we didn’t lose the little guy in a snow drift

He may have been born for this.
