Happy #2 Molly!!

The second birthday, I think is more important than the first because this is the first that might take a little hold in the memory and the first one they might really appreciate. So of course we had to go big (like we need an excuse). It was to be a princess party because Molly loves Snow White and loves all things pretty and spoiled....like her. Lots of help pulling this one together from family again and, even better, lots of participation in the party itself. Everyone dressed like royalty. It was a GREAT party.

So how is Molly at two? Apparently she is three if you ask her doctor. At her appointment she was given a clean bill of health with the understanding that she is physically developed like a 1 year old and mentally a three year old. So what we have is a tiny girl who can put together full sentences (5-7 words), count to ten, answer and ask questions and state her feelings. It really wows everyone she runs in to. She is 20lb, has 6 teeth and an IQ higher than than her weight times her height. Sleeping is still not her thing. I suspect it is because she sees sleep as something impeding her life. But it doesn’t matter because she is so amazing when she is awake. She is beautiful, funny, a fire-ball of personality, and an instant smile to anyone she is around. Molly is going to be, uhm, what is the word I want here? I don’t know...but I am both terrified and exciting to watch her grow up.
