A Summary of 2017 to 2018

In an attempt to not try and update a year’s worth of events on December 1st ahead of our Holiday Letter, I am going to try to do monthly driven website updates (not event driven)...wish me luck.

So, this December brought us lots of interesting updates, including:

-Jon Turning 40

-Yeah...all about Jon

December brings us our usual fun for the holidays. From decorating, family events (including the Spirit Party), and lots of food it was another great holiday season. We have lots of pictures here with some more of the narrative, but a highlight (cause I am writing this), Jon and Dana snagged the Spirit King and Queen honors this year...first for Jon in his 13 years in the family and first for Dana in her 24 years of life. During the holiday fun, Jon turned the big 4-0. Big deal...but not really. Can’t say there is anything I am lacking in life. There was some freaking out about being where I want to be...but how could I want anything else? Katy put on an excellent party (a few pics here) and I celebrated my milestone birthday amongst many friends and family.

And while we are talking about Jon still...I quit LGS. Not an easy decision since LGS has been such a great company for me. But changing dynamics of the group I worked and some pull to return to my aerospace roots had me make the change back to Ball Aerospace...so, we are full circle now. Or are we?

Christmas Day this year fell on the kids first day of Winter break (and Jon’s first day of unemployment!). We spent the week enjoying our off time and doing our first day of skiing (Eldora). Best, the kids Xmas present was a trip to San Diego! We left on New Year’s Eve and spent a great week enjoying sun, zoos, whale watching, eating and pool side relaxing. Love that we can ski one day and be on the beach a couple days later. Lots of pictures here (click).
