Road Trip 2017

August 1, 20171 photos

Our neighbors just bought a summer place on a lake in eastern Washington and Katy has been wanting to go back to her old home in Montana...ROAD TRIP!!

Trip started out after camp and headed straight through Wyoming (cause why stop there?) and landed in Billings (another place no one needs to go). The next day we ended up outside of Glacier National Park in an awesome cabin after visits to Bozeman, Missoula, Flat Head lake, a cherry orchard and Big Fork.

The next couple of days was spent enjoying Kalispell, Whitefish and Big Mountain. We explored Katy’s favorite places and enjoyed biking around the area. Swam in Whitefish lake and did some alpine slides on Big Mountain. The next day we did a half day rafting trip on the Middle Fork...it was AWSOME! Kids had a blast, we saw eagles, swam in the clearest water in the world and enjoyed Dinner riverside.

The next day we camped in Glacier and hiked our butts off throughout the park. The day ended in Waterton Inernational Peace Park (Canadian for Glacier) with a nice dinner at another lake.

We spent the next day driving through part of Canada on our way to eastern Washington and our friends house on Deer Lake. OOOO boy, let me tell you all about lake life! Enjoyed the beach with drinks and good company, enjoyed boating/skiing/tubing with drinks and good company, kayaking and paddle boarding with drinks and good company and there was also plenty of drinks and good company everywhere else. So much fun!! We have next years trip to the lake already booked!

The final push was the long drive directly home with only a few hours roadside nap to get us there. Had a blast. Enjoy the pictures here

Lots of lake time on this trip of the mid-northern continent.
