Thanksgiving Vacation

November 24, 20161 photos

There was a new baby just had by Katy’s close friend, Joann, that was in desperate need of a Katy snuggle. Tried getting up there all summer but finally found an opportunity over Thanksgiving break. So we hit the road and drove to Rapid City for a short visit. Followed that with driving up to Minneapolis to spend the holiday with Kevin’s family and Beth and John (who wisely flew there).

It was a fun trip with the kids behaving beyond our expectations for being locked in a care for 30 hours. Water parks, Prince’s Paisley Park, Mall of America, lots of food, some movies, museums, animal parks....just lots of fun.

Thanksgiving itself was a great with the family with not a flaw on the table. We did puzzles, shopping, watched football, played ultimate in the snow and just enjoyed the company.

As a bonus, we stopped in Omaha on the way home and enjoyed maybe 16 hours there. It is an amazing city. The restaurants are wonderful, the parks fun, the city clean and the zoo is crazy good. We watched the CU game at a bar and contemplated moving...

Yeah vacation...pictures here.
