The British are Coming!

It is odd, but it seems easier to see and stay close to the friends we have that live the farthest away and we see the least. This is the case with Katy’s friend she met while living in England in 8th grade. Kirsty and her daughter Elsbeth made the long trek out to Colorado from the UK to spend a few weeks with us touring our lovely state (amazing how much you learn about the place you live in when you get to be a tour guide). From some day to day fun around town to a few bigger excursions, it really was a great visit. The kids thoroughly enjoyed having the undivided attention of Elsbeth and mom and dad loved having another grown-up in the house to hang with (and one who cooked for us too!).

They came bearing lovely gifts from across the pond (most importantly restocking Katy’s tea supply) and were very generous guests. Katy decided to nickname them Brexit because of the political drama that just went down...that was funny because they hated that and were embarrassed by it (joke’s on us now of course, the US elected Trump...).
