10 Wonderful Years
Today was 10 years since Katy and I said “I do”. In our fashion, we went big. Well, maybe Katy didn’t know that was the plan. Jon got it in his head to throw a surprise second wedding for us. Note: Surprise parties are hard...surprise weddings are just not a smart idea. So the short of it was that 10 years ago when we were married, we both feel like we missed the fun parts of the reception. The dancing (drinking), eating (drinking), enjoying our guest (while drinking) and dancing, dancing, dancing.
So Jon, secretly booked the venue we were married at and invited 60 of our closest old and new friends and family for a night of all fun, no ceremony. Booked a great photographer to capture the moments we lost originally (crappy photographer who disappeared days after the wedding), and opened the floor and bar for all.
Too everyone’s surprise (Jon’s especially), it went off perfectly. Most importantly, our relationship is 10 years strong with every sign of getting stronger and no sign of running out of fun and many surprises ahead.
All the pictures are here...a BIG thanks to Marla Ruthorford of CakeKnife Photography for these gems
