Skiing the Exclusive Slopes

Decided to use our 3 passes at Crested Butte all at once. It was a spectacular trip with incredible views, skiing and weather. We ate well, skied well and plan on being back often (in-fact since I wrote this updated 8 months later, I know we went back in the summer!).

However, the last day on the last run ended a bit rough. Caden came down a big hill and didn’t see a crass path and hit it hard. He took a bad fall that caused severe pain in his butt and his neck. A trip to the ski patrol led to X-rays which led to a ambulance trip to a Cat-scan facility to check on possible broken neck. Worse a possible break in the top vertebrae which helps pivot the head...very bad news. Very good news, it was not broken and all ended well (very nearly had to airlift him back to Denver). Worst thing that happen was lots of throwing up on the way home do to strong pain meds.
