Oregon 2015
It was time for another trip to see the ‘rents in Neskowin, OR. We had been negligent last year in making the trip so we are making up for by staying a full week and bringing along with us Kristen and Shae. We had some commitments to attend to related to health and housing. But there was still plenty of time for play.
Katy and Kristen needed to help out Papa and Grandma with some doctor’s visits and around the house chores to prepare for possible relocation. Jon was pleasantly surprised that there was no deck work or other major repairs to be made, just some plumbing updates…easy.
The kids had some major activities planned what with a beach and sand and grandparents to play with. As an added bonus they got some hang time with their friends who move to Portland last year, Sam and Stella.
Also, finally as I had been promising myself after all these visits, we took a fishing trip. Jon, Caden and Shae (!!) headed out for 5 hours on a beautiful day. We caught lots, had fun (even after getting a little sick), and made a few good meals with our winnings. Caden was awesome, Shae was awesomer.
Oh, and Katy and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary with a lovely dinner at the brand new (second) restaurant in Neskowin. Well-deserved for the both of us…more so to Katy who celebrated her 26Th birthday the day before.
There were some stressful elements of this trip, but to look back on it, we all had a good time enjoying the beautiful coast and the company of Kay and Gerry who were as wonderful as host as always. Many pictures (click here) to enjoy!
