Garden Again!
Typically we plant our garden around Memorial Day as stated by the gardening by-laws in Colorado. The reason of course is it can still freeze and destroy a young crop. But we had such a warm spring (unfortunate for the snow-pack and drought conditions), that we planted nearly a month early. And here in June, it was a good call. Everything is growing and we are going to have a longer growing season this year. Another big step we did was to really clean=up the garden. The picture below show that we tore out a couple of the beds to make a nice area for a couple of large bushes. This made the garden a more pleasant place to be while making it more manageable. Planted this year are some tomatoes, tomatillos, green-beens, lettuce, rocket, carrots, beets, and more squash then we will ever know what to do with in the front yard. Really looking forward to watching Molly empty the cherry tomato plants of all its fruits!
Our, almost eloquent, garden this year.
