21 Weeks

Its official we’re more than half way through our second pregnancy--yippee!!! So far things are going very well. Last week big brother Caden and Aunt Beth joined us for our 20 week ultrasound. We are very pleased to report that the baby is in perfect health, growing right on track for our August 17th due date AND is a gymnast! Once again the baby was moving and flipping around like crazy during our ultrasound--so much, in fact, that after 40 minutes of trying Dr Romary was unable to determine the gender. There were two times that it looked like there were girl parts and one possible sighting of a boy part so for now in the chart the baby is a ‘Girl ?’. We’ll hopefully find out for sure in a month at our next ultrasound. But for now we’ll call it either Mary Lou Retton or Paul Hamm depending on how we’re feeling that day! Currently the baby is about 14 inches long and weighs in just under a pound.

FYI big brother is positive he’s getting a little sister named Molly...despite the fact that the parents haven’t even really discussed names yet!
