15 Months Old & Changing Like Crazy!
In the last month Caden has changed a lot! Sure he’s gotten bigger & is now 22 1/2lbs and 31 1/2 in (25th & 50th %)...but he’s also has suddenly grown a lot more hair, gotten his top two front teeth, started saying all kinds of new words like ball, more, up & boo and has started signing again--more, all done, horse & ball. It seems like every day now he’s coming up with something new to say or sign which is really fun.
Unfortunately the days of our big healthy eater have come to an end. Caden is quite the picky eater these days and is pretty sure anything you offer him is disgusting...unless its in the form of a cracker or cookie. Getting him to eat anything healthy at all is a challenge...hopefully this is a short lived phase, but from what I hear its not.
Like all little boys should be Caden is very curious and gets into all kinds of trouble. He is fascinated with cords & outlets...especially the vacuum which he drags all over and tries to plug in (thank goodness for outlet covers!) He is in a state of perpetual motion during waking hours...he’s running, climbing, going up and down stairs and now trying to jump. Despite the big grunts of effort he’s yet to get his feet off the ground at all--very cute! The good news is all this activity makes him an excellent sleeper!
Caden also has a very sweet side. He has turned into a little lover boy and likes to give kisses and snuggle up--mostly to Mom which I love! He is also likes to be ‘Mommy’s Little Helper’ unloading the dishwasher and helping pick up toys. Surprisingly, he’s quite good & cooperative about taking directions and doing what you ask--he understands A LOT! Some of his daily tricks include putting his paci and blankie bears in his crib in the morning, going downstairs for breakfast, going to the back door to get into the car and getting things from the other rooms for you.
Like his mom Caden likes to get out and about so we’ve started doing more things so we get out of the house most days. This month we started a class at Kangaroo Kingdom (a CLEAN indoor baby gym), have visited the local Children’s Museum a few times and have started going to story time. Of course Caden loves all of it!
