10 Months Old!

Caden’s 10th month was an eventful one! Just a few days past 9 months Caden cut his 1st tooth. Then just as we were recovering from the 1st one,

he cut his second! We were a little surprised at how difficult the whole teething thing was. Caden was cranky, didn’t sleep well and was an addict for Tylenol most of the time.

This month Caden learned how to pull himself up onto things--his crib, drawers and bathtubs are favorites. Shortly there after he learned to crawl over things...he loves trying to get into the bathtub (a favorite evening activity) and maneuver himself over any obstacles--people, animals, toys etc.

After our 9 month Dr’s appointment the world of food expanded for Caden a lot. He can now eat most things and he enjoys it! Occasionally he’s a picky eater but most of the time he’ll eat almost anything in sight. Sweet potatoes, carrots, yogurt, corn, beans, tofu and veggie burgers are particular favorites. So far the only things he consistently doesn’t like are green veggies of any sort & fish.

Caden’s personality is also becoming more developed. He is still a serious guy a lot of the time studying things and trying to figure things out. However, he REALLY, REALLY likes being the center of attention and when he’s not he doesn’t understand and does things to make himself the center--high pitched screaming is his favorite tactic for this, but he also reaches out for people and tries to get them to laugh. He’s very personable and charming though, and engages with everyone we meet, unless they try to hold him or even touch him--he’s a Mama’s Boy.

In the last few days he’s also started to cruise around on the furniture and master his walker. He’s starting to be a little more daring as well pulling away from things so he stands on his own for a few seconds and sometimes lunges to try taking a couple of steps. I don’t think we’re far away from his first steps....but he’s proved me wrong many a time!
