9 Months Old!!!

The past nine months have flown by for all of us--and this past month was a big one for the little man!!

He’s finally started crawling--not a normal hands and knees crawl--more of an army crawl; but he’s moving forward and FAST! He first scooted forward on a Friday night and by Monday he was all over the house. Caden has developed great determination and focus and none of this has changed with his crawling. He has found that now that he can move he can get into all of the things he’s been seeing--doors, floor vents and water dishes are top priority but door stoppers, the fire place and stairs aren’t far behind on his list of fun!

He has also started talking a little bit. He says Mama, Da Da, Hi, ba ba and waves for bye bye, da and signs dog for Dog. He’s also learned how to clap his hands, stand for a few seconds and SCREAM REALLY, REALLY loud (mostly out of happiness) which he finds most amazing of all!

Caden’s personality continues to develop as well. He’s quiet the charmer (while still a total Mama’s boy) and he is now positive that he is the most amazing person on the planet. He’s a performer-- likes to be the center of attention and if he’s not cracking everyone else up, he’s cracking himself up.

This month’s Dr.'s appointment was in midst of our family reunion for Katy’s Dad’s birthday so we took a pool for his weight. We had bets from 1lb to 25lbs and the winner (without going over) was Curtis with his 1lb bet--Caden weighed in at 19lbs 14 oz, is 27 1/2 inches long and has a head that is 18 3/4 in around. The shocking part about this was that his percentiles have totally changed. He’s now 25th in length, 45th in weight and 97th in head!!!!!
