A Boulder Memorial Day Tradition

May 26, 200814 photos

The BolderBoulder is THE Memorial Day event in the Boulder (if not Colorado) area. This annual 10k road race attracts more than 50,000 people each year (rain or shine...this year, rain) to run the roads of Boulder. It is a really good time. It was the first race I ever ran and I have continued to do it for the past 6 years (me, Jon...this time, however, it is merely training for my marathon). Katy has run in even more than that. This year, me, Katy, Kristen, Shae, Kendra, Sarah, Beth, and John took part. The weather was indeed overcast, cold and rainy which made for PERFECT running weather, but horrible spectator weather. Nonetheless, Caden, Grandma Kay, Anne, and Dana came out to root us all on. Here are some pics:

This probably deserves an explanation...

Because this is a Memorial Day race, it is run in honor of those who have served or are serving in our Armed Forces, I ran this year in honor of my Grandfather
