Anniversary and Birthday
Its official Caden’s parents are both now in their 30’s. My birthday celebrations started a week early with an awesome surprise party thrown by Jon at a new restaurant in Louisville called The Empire. I was a TOUGH candidate for a surprise party but Jon pulled it off by telling me we were going to one of his colleagues retirement parties. I DID NOT want to go but he tricked me into it and I was TOTALLY surprised.
Celebrations continued a week later...celebrating my birthday (3/24) and our 2nd anniversary (3/25) we took the day off and enjoyed time together as a family in Denver. We went to the zoo as it was a beautiful spring day, went shopping and tried to go out to dinner. Alas after our busy day Caden was done and we ended up getting our sushi to go and enjoyed it in front of the TV watching a movie. We then capped the day off with some sparkling cider and a remake of our 1st tier of wedding cake. Jon said it best...it used to be parties and champagne...now its sparkling cider and diapers...It was a great day!!!
