Caden (and our) 1st Caucus

Jon and I have been looking forward to this year’s election since...well, the last election which took place right before we started dating. I remember saying in one of our very first conversations...well at least we can look forward to 2008 when (hopefully) a woman and an african american will be running for president--I was right!

We have been supporting the Obama campaign from the start. Had we not have had a newborn we might have been more active but we’re doing what we can with signs in our yard, bumper stickers on our cars and talking about it as much as possible.

We were excited to go to local caucus, and we went as a family. Since Anne and Curtis live in our neighborhood, they were in our precinct and went as well. Jon was elected as a county delegate and I am an alternate. It was an exciting night--Obama won overwhelmingly in Colorado which was awesome!
