Six Weeks Old--Happy & Growing
Caden is six weeks old now and is getting more and more interactive with each passing day. Caden smiled for the first time last week and is now smiling on a regular basis to everyone he meets. He has also started cooing and making a variety of other noises grunts and coughs (check out the video at the bottom of the page). Another recent development is that he’s starting to enjoy his toys. He has a little worm jungle gym that he really likes to play with, but the bouncy chair, swing, airplane mobile and snugly are still favorites...and then of course the best thing of all the baby burrito!
We are happy to report that he continues to be a good sleeper...last week he broke two of his sleeping records--first was a 5 1/2 hour stretch and then the next night a 6 hour stretch and now is seeming to go for this long most nights--yeah! Unfortunately, the first time Caden slept this long, Katy woke up after the usual 4 hours and was wondering what was wrong...she’s now gotten used to this and is loving it!
Last week Caden also started experimenting with taking a bottle. He does this about once a day now and is doing great which is awesome for both parents...it gives Jon a chance to feed him a Katy a break! He is obviously a good eater as he’s now weighing in (on our home scale) at 11 1/2 lbs!
A Very Happy and Smiling Caden
